Sona Ship Management Pvt. Ltd. (SSMPL) is a company established in Kolkata in December 1992. SSMPL is a company engaged in stevedoring and cargo handling in the Kolkata Dock Complex.

With over 25 years of experience in stevedoring and cargo handling, our objective has always been to provide seamless end to end solutions and round the clock service to the client leveraging on our knowledge and infrastructural capabilities.

We specialized in handling cargo such as food grain, fertilizers, coal, iron ore, break bulk /project cargo, etc.

Our forte is handling vessels at anchorage – Sand heads, Sagar and Diamond Harbour.  Bulk or bagged cargo discharged from the mother vessels on to barges is then brought to either Netaji Subhash Dock (NSD), Khidderpur  Dock (KPD) for storage and subsequent delivery.
